Whaiora Journeys

Mahitahi is really empowering, especially with all staff members being so assertive and friendly. So far, I have learned so many things and there is still much more. I can’t wait to start my career in the Mental Health industry.

Andrea is currently undergoing the National Certificate in Mental Health and completing work placement with the Child and Youth services in Mahitahi Trust.

Leo Brown

Hi My Name is Leo Brown,

I have been with Mahitahi Trust since 2008 and with their supports I have grown.

My vision is to work within the Mental Health Sector supporting Peers.

I have gained certificates in Peer Support, WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan), currently undergoing AKINA (Mahitahi Peer Support) and a member of the advisory group. Upon completion, I will be eligible to register for the National Certificate in Mental Health Support Work, Level 4 in the up and coming New Year.

I want to thank Mahitahi Trust for giving me these opportunities that will bring me closer to my vision..
