The residential support worker will play a vital role and will work alongside Whanau Whaiora in a residential whare to achieve their desired wellbeing outcomes. You will work within a multidisciplinary team and utilize our model of care to help shape positive routine and achieve lifestyle goals. 

• There are two residential support worker positions available based in Auckland, one position is permanent full-time 40 hours and the other is a weekend cover wake shift 25 hours per week.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team and utilise our model of care to enhance the lives of Whanau Whaiora.

The Business Continuity Administrator will play a vital role and will help provide full and proactive administrative and receptionist support to Mahitahi and Kainga Trusts, including any clerical services in order to ensure effective and efficient operations of Mahitahi and Kainga Trust.

• Perform reception duties in an efficient, professional and courteous manner
• On a daily basis sort and prioritise the incoming and outgoing mail
• Answer all calls within 3 rings and appropriately action queries.
• Screen telephone calls for the Chief Executive and Executive team.
• Provide administrative services for the organisation
• Provide support to the purchasing reconciliation process
• Ensure the car pool system and all its functions are managed appropriately
• Can accurately carry out tasks and in a timely manner, with attention to detail

This is a new service and an opportunity to use your experience and knowledge of Tikanga Māori cultural assessments to support an appropriate wellness pathway for Māori service users at Mahitahi and Kainga Trust. The Cultural Support person will play a vital role in identifying and facilitating appropriate cultural interventions. You will work with whanau and equip them with the resources to support better choices and decision-making.

• Strong knowledge and understanding of tikanga Māori
• Committed to Te Ao Maori perspectives and the use of Te Reo
• Facilitate kaimahi training
• Passionate and confident public speaker
• Facilitate appropriate cultural responses
• Knowledge of cultural enhancement
• Proven cultural leadership ability
• A reasonable level of fluency in Te Reo Māori,
• Have an in-depth understanding of tikanga and confidence in Te Ao Māori
• Proven knowledge and experience in working with Māori communities
• Proven experience developing and facilitating workshops to build Māori capability within an organisation

Te mahi tūranga - About the role

The registered nurse will provide comprehensive assessments of mental health and addictions support needs for Whānau Whaiora aged between 18 and over.  The service includes community and home-based supports. You will work within a multidisciplinary team who work collaboratively to achieve outcomes for whānau whaiora. 

This position is full-time (40 hours per week between Monday - Sunday), and includes paid rostered on-call support for the service.

• Proven experience within the mental health sector
• Experience working in partnership with our clinical partners
• A passion for working with Whānau whaiora
• A solutions focus
• A Whānau whaiora centered approach
• Experience overseeing and managing Medication
• An ability to facilitate medication and infection prevention & control training
• An ability to write clinical case notes and reports
• An ability to coordinate clinical assessments and interventions such as Diabetes management
• An ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team setting
• Proven knowledge and experience in working with Māori communities
• Reasonable knowledge and understanding of tikanga Māori
